Delete the whole account
- Open Lexpad (the Android app or app.lexpad.app) and sign in.
- Go to Settings, then the Account section.
- Tap Delete account, read the note, and tap Delete my account.
Your account is closed at once and every device is signed out. Your notebooks, words, meanings, examples, notes, learning progress, e-mail address and display name are erased from our servers after a 30-day grace period. During those 30 days you can ask us to restore the account; after them nothing can be recovered. The copy of your notebook stored on your own device is removed when the account is deleted there.
What is kept: anonymous, aggregated usage counts that contain no personal data, and crash reports already sent to our error-reporting service, which carry no identity, address or notebook content and expire on their own after 90 days. Off-site database backups are retained for up to 90 days and then deleted.
Delete some of your data without deleting the account
- Words and notebooks: open a word and tap Remove, or delete a whole notebook from Settings → Notebook. Deleted entries disappear from every device on the next sync and are purged from our servers after 30 days.
- Learning progress: Settings → Reset progress erases every review result and puts all words back in box 1, keeping the words themselves.
- Devices: Settings → Signed-in devices signs any device out.
- Your copy first: Settings → Export downloads the whole notebook with its progress as plain JSON before you delete anything.
If you cannot sign in
Write to hello@lexpad.app from the e-mail address of the account and say which of the above you want. We answer within a few days and apply the same 30-day grace period. Details of what we store are in the privacy policy.
