It sees
Your languages, your most recently added words in this notebook (first meaning, an example and the box), and the recent conversation.
Lex
Lex is a chat in its own tab. Instead of teaching from a textbook, it works with the words you have saved: it explains them, tells similar ones apart, tests you and helps you use them.
Checked against the app on 3 October 2026.
Open the Lex tab and type in Ask about your words, or tap one of the three openers. A few ideas:
“Test me on my newest words”
A quiz in conversation, one word at a time, using the words you saved most recently.
“Which of my words are easy to mix up?”
It finds confusable pairs among your words and tells them apart with examples.
“Use my hardest words in a short story”
Your words in context, in a story you can read and ask about.
“Is “I’m fed up of it” correct?”
It checks a sentence you wrote and explains the usual form.
از کلمههای جدیدم ازم امتحان بگیر
Written in Persian, so Lex answers in Persian, right to left.
“What is the difference between “credible” and “credulous”?”
A comparison with examples, then a quick check that you have it.
Lex sees your notebook’s languages and your most recently added words in the chat’s notebook, each with its first meaning, one example and the box it is in, plus the recent conversation.
Your languages, your most recently added words in this notebook (first meaning, an example and the box), and the recent conversation.
The whole of a large notebook, your private notes, your other notebooks, or the web.
Lex answers in your meaning language unless you write in another. Each answer is laid out in the direction of its script, so Persian, Arabic and Hebrew read right to left, and the input box turns with the first letter you type. You can also speak your question.
Lex lives inside Lexpad. To work with your notebook from ChatGPT or Claude instead, connect Lexpad to your assistant; that is free on every plan.
